Michael Odell
Vice President of Global Energy Markets
Michael (Mike) Odell has over 30 years of experience in enterprise software sales, marketing, business development and general management. As Vice President of Reality Mobile’s global energy markets group, Mike is responsible for spearheading the company’s move into the oil and gas market and enhancing brand visibility in order to capitalize on applications within the energy industry.
Prior to joining Reality Mobile, Mike served as President of Geomodeling Technology Corporation, a geoscience software company focused on advanced reservoir characterization system development. During his tenure, he effectively negotiated a $2 million bridge financing from an outside investor while also increasing the company’s revenue growth by 20 percent in 2008.
From 2003 to 2008, Mike served as the Vice President and General Manager for MetaCarta, Inc. where he was responsible for developing and executing the strategy for entry into the energy market. His knowledge of the industry and business development background allowed him to successfully implement a product roadmap and enhance the company’s software line to meet the needs of the oil and gas industry, resulting in Schlumberger acquiring exclusive world-wide marketing rights to MetaCarta’s product line for the oil and gas market.
