Dave Rensin, President and Chief Executive Officer
Dave started his career designing and developing software applications and information systems to carry sensitive data over both wired and wireless networks for clients such as the U.S. Army, the Treasury Department, the Secret Service, and the National Guard Bureau. For his work, Dave received a civilian commendation from the U.S. Army.
In 1997, Dave founded one of the first business divisions in the U.S. to develop custom applications for the Palm. His success at developing a solution for synching data between handheld devices and corporate back-end systems led to the creation of RiverBed Technologies in 1998. Riverbed's Scout™ software was eventually licensed to nearly every major manufacturer of handheld devices in the world. In 2000, Dave was named a Mobile Innovator of the Year by Mobile Computing Magazine.
In 2000, Riverbed was acquired by Aether Systems for over $1 billion. Dave then joined Omnisky as Chief Product Officer, where he designed and built the company's products to provide wireless e-mail and Internet services to mobile devices. The Omnisky service offering received an Editor's Choice award from PC Magazine.
In 2003, Dave struck out on his own and founded Reality Mobile. Today, Dave continues to provide the vision and the plan for deploying cutting-edge mobile computing products.
David Kramer, Chief Operating Officer
With over a decade of experience with private and public equity, finance, capital markets and M&A, David brings a wealth of operational knowledge to the Reality Mobile team.
Prior to joining Reality Mobile, David served as Managing Director of Stanmore Capital, LLC in Bethesda, Maryland. Working with some of the area's leading private equity and middle market M&A firms, David proved integral in identifying, structuring and negotiating investment transactions in the technology, IT consulting, consumer products, media and manufacturing areas.
During David's tenure as a Senior VP at PSINet Inc., a NASDAQ listed global internet carrier and IT consulting firm, the company grew from run rate revenues of approximately $100 million and 1200 employees to run rate revenues of approximately $2 billion and more than 10,000 employees worldwide.
Prior to joining PSINet, David was a senior mergers and acquisitions attorney at Morgan Lewis LLP specializing in public and private securities offerings, private equity transactions and other complex corporate matters. David’s background in corporate law and finance enabled him to work closely with clients on critical operational matters such as the integration of newly acquired businesses and other business issues arising both pre-acquisition and post-acquisition.
Brian Geoghegan, Chief Product Officer
Brian has been managing teams and projects for over 20 years.
He started on Capitol Hill in 1983, rising from unpaid student intern to head of Congressman Lee Hamilton’s Washington D.C. office. In 1993, Brian joined the international firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, where he structured and negotiated corporate deals around the world, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, public and private financings and venture capital investments. His work ranged widely from a startup’s first round of private financing to $1+ billion construction financings in Asia, India and Turkey to the $20+ billion merger of The Coastal Corporation with El Paso Energy. In 1997, Brian helped to craft MCI's joint venture with BT and Telefónica.
In 2000, he joined PSINet Inc., where he was promoted to Vice President and served as part of the core management team. While there, he led numerous corporate deal teams, buying and selling assets in North America, Europe, Asia and Africa and negotiating other complex corporate transactions.
Kevin Winters, Vice President of Engineering
Kevin has over 13 years experience in the field of software development, system integration, and system architecture. His work has been in both the private and public sectors with companies AAEC/Titan, Neural Networks/CardSystems, Riverbed Technologies/Aether Systems, Q.Know, and IntegrityOne Partners.
He has worked with a broad range of technology, from embedded systems to Cray supercomputers and developed software in a number of different disciplines including: high performance numerical analysis for antenna design, decision support software for credit card dispute processing, 3-D rendering of object geometries, data sychronization of enterprise data, and document management.
Prior to joining Reality Mobile, Kevin spent a year at U.S. Department of Homeland Security's Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency providing architectural guidance for ICE's effort to share data across agencies. During this time, Kevin helped to design and develop ICE's first web service which securely shared apprehension data using the Global Justice XML Data Model (GJXDM). This service has successfully been used by the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) agency to identify subjects with prior records.
In the handheld computing space, Kevin has worked extensively with PalmOS. While at Aether Systems, he developed a C++ framework to expedite PalmOS application development that was utilized by three departments. In addition, he managed a professional services staff responsible for creating custom solutions to allow handheld devices to integrate with the enterprise. More recently, Kevin led the development team at Q.Know for work on commercial software targeting information management in the reinsurance industry.
Scott Granai, Vice President of Sales
Scott brings more than 15 years of experience in enterprise technology to the Reality Mobile Team. With a strong track record of fostering rapid sales growth at early-stage startups the software and hardware markets, his commitment to a client-centric approach ensures that the business needs and requirements of Reality Mobile’s customers and partners receive the highest level of company focus.
Scott started his technology sales career at ON Technology. He established and managed the company’s national account sales program, contributing to its IPO in 1995. ON was #36 on the INC 100 Fastest Growing Public Companies List in 1996, with more than 2000% revenue growth over 5 years.
Granai also spent several years at Palm Computing (3Com). He was part of the original enterprise sales team that developed and grew the PalmOS platform into a 90% market share leader, consistently exceeding quota and earning multiple Chairman’s Club honors.
He then worked for Omnisky, where he was a charter member of the enterprise and carrier sales team. Omnisky was one of the first wireless solution providers to deliver email and internet content data to the handheld device market, joining Palm.net and Blackberry in that space.
In 2005, he started with Beachhead where he was responsible for the development and execution of Beachhead’s strategic sales initiatives and channel marketing plans.
Philippe Kuperman, Vice President of Sales
Philippe's experience in sales and marketing, operations, and general management was acquired over 30 years of multinational assignments in the software, telecommunications, and Internet industries. He specializes in the development of new business opportunities, establishing organizations in new areas, and integrating and optimizing resources in technology and rapid growth markets.
Philippe joined the MAPA Group in 2002, a business-development consulting organization, and consulted for various start-up technology companies in the US and Latin America. From 1999 through 2002, he was President of PSINet Latin America, where he led the acquisition of 23 different companies in 6 key countries and consolidated the resulting businesses into an integrated operation.

Michael Marks, Vice President for Strategic Operations
Michael Marks is a senior Washington executive with over 25 years of high-level public and private sector experience concerning national security issues and the federal government marketplace.
From 1999 to 2005 Michael was founder and Principal of Synthesis Partners, LLC, a professional services firm that provided open source business intelligence and technology scouting services to the federal national security community and industry. Prior to founding Synthesis Partners, Michael served as President of Michael Marks & Associates, where he advised federal government clients, Congressional organizations, state agencies, federal laboratories, think tanks, corporations and trade associations, law firms and the media. During this time he also served as an Adjunct Staff Member of the Institute for Defense Analyses (IDA). Prior to establishing his consulting business, Michael served as Executive Vice President, Projectavision, Inc. and Vice President for Corporate Development, Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC).
Michael served in government from 1979-1989, holding a number of high-level policy positions, both in the Executive and Legislative branches. He was Assistant Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP); Senior Policy Advisor to the Office of Director, Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA); Senior Policy Advisor to the Under Secretary for Security Assistance, Science and Technology, U.S. Department of State; and Legislative Assistant for Foreign Affairs and National Security for Senator Jake Garn. Michael received the State Department's most prestigious award, the “Superior Honor Award”.
Bruce Harris, Senior Advisor
Bruce is a retired CIA senior executive with 24 years of experience in the US intelligence community. He most recently held the position of Director, IT Solutions, National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, where he focused on identifying and championing rapid insertion of available and emerging technologies to provide direct operational support to the warfighter and the intelligence community. He placed special emphasis on providing mobile communications, commercial IT solutions, and data access for unique customers driven by size, reliability and security.
At the CIA, Bruce managed research, development, application and deployment of technology to critical intelligence collection requirements, as well as conducting and managing traditional intelligence collection activities. He focused on improving capabilities and achieving efficiencies, and directed efforts across the full range of intelligence disciplines with particular emphasis on clandestine technical initiatives and activities.
Bruce served in a number of assignments both stateside and overseas, including Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia. He has extensive experience managing sophisticated technical operations, equipment development and community partnerships. He has successfully led both small tactical operational teams in denied environments and large organizations with worldwide presence and responsibilities. He served on two CIA Directorate’s Budget and Plans Staffs, was the Executive Officer for the DS&T in the late 1990’s and was promoted to the Senior Intelligence Service in January 2000.
Darryl Garrett, Senior Advisor
Darryl's vast experience gives him a deep understanding of the needs of the U.S. intelligence community. In 2000, he retired early as a senior official of the CIA as an SIS-05. Among his many accomplishments, Darryl served as a member of the CIA's Directorate of Science and Technology Board of Directors, as the CTO of the National Imagery and Mapping Agency (since renamed the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency), as the leader of various technology support groups and divisions at the CIA, and as Executive Assistant to the Science Advisor to the President.
Darryl received the Career Intelligence Medal from the CIA for his innovative work with nontraditional industry partners (Disney Imagineering, Stephen Spielberg's SHOAH Foundation, Planet 9 Studios, and ABC Networks), and the Intelligence Community Award for his work with the National Imagery and Mapping Agency.
Following his retirement, Darryl has continued to provide strategic advice within the national security community, working with numerous organizations, including IBM Federal, BAE SYSTEMS, Google, Idelix and Palantir Technologies (whose founder also co-founded PayPal). He joined Reality Mobile in February 2005.
