Upgraded software speeds incident response, streamlines remote communications with instant access to video, data and rich contextual information regardless of location

HERNDON, Va. – (Dec. 6, 2010) – Reality Mobile® announced today the release of RealityVision® 3.0, the newest version of its real-time mobile video collaboration software. Version 3.0 was developed with extensive input from existing customers to provide users with access to more information sources, enhanced collaboration options for greater field awareness and an expanded enterprise toolset to meet implementation, performance and interoperability requirements. These features enable enterprises ranging from government organizations to multinational corporations to collaborate securely across geographies and make informed decisions in real-time.

With version 3.0, RealityVision now supports the Android™ mobile operating system, allowing users of the popular Motorola Droid devices, as well as the Samsung Galaxy S series and HTC devices to access the mobile collaboration platform. Version 3.0 also enhances RealityVision’s unique ScreencastTM feature, which allows users to turn anything on their computer screen into a live video feed. The new release also includes a redesign of the Windows Mobile application for enterprise devices, enhanced tools for managing video and information shared on the network, and new options for adding contextual information to video and data feeds.

“RealityVision 3.0 is tailor-made to help government organizations and enterprises including oil and gas companies, utilities, and seaports mount more informed, faster responses to events that could compromise productivity, profitability and safety,” said David Kramer, President and Chief Executive Officer, Reality Mobile. “When decisions need to be made and action needs to be taken, RealityVision 3.0 empowers the entire team – including members located around the world – to work from a shared visual perspective complete with live video and corresponding data.”

Support For Android & More Video Feeds
RealityVision 3.0 marks the platform’s launch on the Android mobile operating system. Previously available on Windows Mobile and the Blackberry platform, version 3.0 expands the software to the fastest growing mobile OS.  The release of RealityVision for Android reflects RealityMobile’s commitment to keeping pace with innovation in the mobile technology and computing space.

Version 3.0 also allows console operators to import video clips that originate inside or outside the RealityVision network, replay them on demand for authorized users and distribute them across the network in real-time.  In the law enforcement and military contexts, for example, the imported feed might include a critical clip from an unmanned aerial vehicle or other surveillance technology.

Faster Information Delivery With Intuitive Management & User Controls

At the heart of RealityVision 3.0 is a next generation management console and additional communication tools for remote users. These upgrades allow for the addition of greater contextual information to video and data feeds, resulting in faster, more detailed delivery of critical information to any user on the network.

RealityVision’s Screencast feature has been extended in multiple ways, including allowing console operators and PC users to start the live streaming at the push of a button, a key utility that allows users to share complex information such as SCADA data, 3D models, schematics and diagrams without any integration between back-end systems.

Remote users will also now have greater control over RealityVision operations on their device. As one example, at log-in, each remote user will be notified of any pending video sources sent while they were signed off of the network, and can then choose to view those sources immediately or at a later point. In aggregate, these new features allow management operators and remote users to find, share and view relevant information quickly, speeding critical communications for faster response.

Both console operators and remote users can also now add comments and context to the video and data feeds shared across the Reality Mobile network.  From the management console, operators can embed messages in commands; access annotation tools for more targeted communications; and pause live video, rewind to an important scene and send to a remote user from that point on. Remote users can also add comments to video sessions.  When combined, these capabilities deliver a comprehensive real-time operating picture among widely dispersed personnel for a more rapid and unified response.

Improved Access to Historical Information
The forensic capabilities of the RealityVision system have been expanded substantially in version 3.0. With the new read receipt feature, management console operators can instantly review the status of sent commands, see details of each user’s response and quickly forward previous commands to others on the network. Version 3.0 also includes a redesign of the system’s video history feature. The video history now includes archived Screencast feeds, and the entire history is searchable by user, date and comment information for easy information retrieval.
